I've been to this restaurant twice now, once for brunch and the second time for dinner. The brunch was ok, except our eggs benedict came to our table slightly on the lukewarm side. Then we had the waffles and they were actually pretty good. Dinner was an unfortunate but expected average pasta dinner. Once you've tried the real deal, al dente pasta from the mother land (meaning Italy), it's really difficult to eat pasta anywhere else. The pasta at this place was overcooked and didn't feel 'home made' as they advertised. The squid ink pasta was definitely better than the duck pappardelle, but was still average.

Fantastic meal. Had the fresh cannelloni - delish. Burrata melts in your mouth. Insalata di mare was also very fresh. Great atmosphere. Loved it.

This is a two month old restaurant, but they sure have it running smoothly. Our party of four went on a Friday night and it was packed to the rafters, with people spilling out onto the sidewalk. The room is quite large and very modern chic in appearance. Our table was all set, for us and we were seated immediately. Service was attentive, albeit on the slow side, but given the mob scene it was a miracle anything functioned. The menu is clearly Italian, and ranges from pizza to cannelloni, to fresh fish items. The wine list has a good selection, but most bottles are expensive, though a few are more moderately priced. We all enjoyed our meals, and the cheery vibrancy of a celebratory youthful crowd makes for a bright upbeat experience.

This is the best authentic Italian food!!! Service and bar drinks were amazing. If you are looking to enjoy yourself, this is the place to be.

Lynora's was a nice surprise to the senses. There were four of us for an early dinner (5pm) on a Saturday night. The front doors of the entire restaurant were set to the open position and the breeze was nicely flowing. The new décor boasted softer warm tones with a large refreshing white marble bar top. The bar area really stood out. The cocktails were very good. Strong enough and not skimpy in size. Our waitress KELLY was amazing and so on the ball. That in and of itself is worth going back for. Nothing like having bad service to make you retreat... I had the Hog Snapper. MMM so fresh and tasty. Another person had their fresh made pasta and meatballs. OMG delectable! The prosciutto appetizer was heavenly and their sides of grilled Brussels sprouts, spinach and asparagus were so well prepared. Everything we tried was very good and not overly seasoned. You could actually taste the food for what the food was instead of some places hiding the flavors under nothing but sauces. The prices were right on point for a downtown area restaurant. Bonus-They have a private upstairs area for parties that seat about 50. It is very quaint upstairs! All in all a great environment with yummy food and drink to please even the most finickiest person. We will definitely be back. ** To the proprietor, Sascha and his crew...A job well done and see you soon! Maria

I need to update my review - I gave my first review opening week, far too early! And if any place I've dined deserves 5 stars , this is the place! It's very rare when you find a place that exceeds expectations in all areas, Lynora's does. Menu, decor, cost, staff, food, receive my highest marks. Here's the breakdown- The options available on the menu are numerous. I challenge you to not find something on this creative & balanced menu that even the pickiest eater will like. Food presentation is lovely. Classic dishes w/ generous portions are delivered by the friendly staff as soon as the made to order food is ready. The the moment the plate is in front of you ,your mouth will start watering- it's impossible to not look at the beautifully prepared food and not smell the flavors as they tease your senses. You know immediately everything has been made with love. The hardest part is holding yourself back from grabbing your fork and digging in while the waiter sprinkles freshly grated parmigiana cheese to the top off your plate of pasta. What follows is an explosion of flavors that will blow your mind. My favorite dishes? Everything I've ordered! I've taken several friends who are hard core foodies to try Lynora's for the first time. All of them having to suffer to listening to me carry on about what a treat they are in for, all of them being polite to my over the top praises ALL OF THEM AGREEING AFTER "its beyond amazing"! So if you want great food, fun experience, affordable entree, friendly staff, beautiful decor, and food that will be more than memorable because it's just that damn good, GO TO LYNORA'S OSTERIA!!! *Oh yah, if your lucky , you'll meet Raffaele buzzing around, if you have an "off the menu" request, he's the guy who can make it happen, I hear he has a special "in" with the chef!

U have to ask for the pesto concoction they have. It's great on your bread! Or just plain if u like pesto! Last time I came I had the margherita and it was amazing. The sauce needed more flavor but crust was perfect. Let's see how it comes out this time.... Well. Um. It's more like flatbread today. Still no flavor in the sauce and crust is very crispy. No consistency at this place. I did put the pesto on the pizza and that gave it some flavor. Staff is all very very friendly. I'll be back to see if it's better next time.

Delicious Italian food. Fresh hot bread to start. Homemade meatballs perfect size and consistency. Salami and cheese plate the best charcuterie I've had in a long while anywhere. Great selection of wines. Fun atmosphere. Friendly and efficient service. Wife enjoyed orchiette. Bravo. Will be back to try that pizza!!!

Loved the atmosphere! Cozy and romantic. We went for a date night and caught the last hour of happy hour. 1/2 prices drinks and special appetizer menu. We had the tomato mozzarella which was very fresh and also order the fried calamari. Refectory seasoned and not over breaded. For dinner we order the rigatoni alla vodka and added meatballs. This dish was excellent. We also ordered the hog snapper. Also very good but my favorite was the alla vodka. Ended the dinner with some cappuccino. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Our last night while on vacation in West Palm Beach we had dinner at Lynora's Osteria. We began the journey to our palate with the Mottzarela and tomato salad. This was just average and there was not a lot of excitement with this dish. I ordered the red snapper special which took me to the path of happiness I was anticipating! This was served with zucchini, carrot and a green bean medley and yummy potatoes. Wow on the flavor of the red snapper; garlic, capers, onions and a tomato reduction. Wish we had this place in San Antonio!

I'm a fan of Lynora's and always looking forward to coming here, especially for their pizza. But the service, specifically eating at the bar, has been slipping on my last few visits, most recent was yesterday. Food is very good and carry's the overall Lynora's experience and the four star rating. One critique is that one of our favorite dishes at Lynora's was the Fettuccine Bolognese, slow cooked classic beef ragu. They appear to have changed the recipe, as yesterday was just a meat sauce (chop meat) vs what was a fantastic true beef ragu. It was good enough, but the original recipe was fantastic!!! Not just yesterday, but find bartenders spend too much time talking to one another and should/could be more customer focused. Tend to be informal and casual with the customer. Yesterday they had pizza behind the bar, drinks (starbucks, soda, etc) being kept on side for the bartenders, one female bartender in way too tight tank top had her iPhone stored in her cleavage...ironically, her shirt said "stay classy"...?? Also ordered a few glasses of wine, each of which was a different pour (volume). From a service perspective, it is quite easy to do so much better and they have proven many times at this location that they can and have. Perhaps it was an off day, with not the right leadership leading the team. It does appear that some of the new staff needs to be retrained or at least refocused on the customer being the priority. I gave it four stars as I am a big fan of the food, specifically the pizza and have hope service will improve, although candidly yesterday was at best three stars. I also recommend you lean into the Classic Italian genre a bit more...perhaps some Sinatra, Dean, etc. vs. Todays' Hits. Regardless, I'll be back as like I started in this review...I am a fan overall...specifically of the food.

Must try!!!!! Came here for Sunday brunch for a birthday and had a wonderful time. They had a DJ which made the place really fun and we had the $18 all you can drink, which was great! I ordered the rigatoni alla vodka and it was AMAZING and my boyfriend ordered the spaghetti bolognese, and his was delicious as well! Our waiter was very attentive, he had a thick accent and always made sure our glasses were full! He also sang to my boyfriend with a dessert and it was adorable. If you're on Clematis, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won't be disappointed!

The food is very good. Where this restaurant is lacking is expedient service. The first time we went the hostess barely greeted us & was down right rude to another customer. Second time I went w/ my husband out for an anniversary dessert & I needed to get the hostess to find us our waiter. So though I would love to give it a higher rating, customer service needs more attention.

This is the 2nd time we've been there We got the pizza again, I don't think we'll get pizza again. This time we had the lobster & shrimp ravioli, which was actually pretty good. If you go here, don't sit in one of the back booths. Both times we ended up swatting fruit flies away. They must keep the dirty dishes right there instead of taking them directly to the kitchen. Or, at least that's what I prefer to think (lol). They also have had inadequate A/C both times.

We drove downtown to attend the Hullaballo 2 year anniversary party and arrived to find it crowded with the wine dive crowd and decided to leave. We had heard Lynora's was giving Hot Pie a run for their money so we called and asked if they did take out. They do and the hostess who answered the phone did a good job of explaining their offerings. I wasn't looking at a menu so I appreciated her efforts. I decided on their vegetarian pie. We drove east and parked again and went in and had a seat at the bar. Quick story: 3 years ago hubby took us to see Anthony Bourdain speak live and he shared with the audience his favorite cocktail the negroni. After that I learned to make negroni's and also tried to get them at local bars. Zero bartenders that we asked back then knew what we were asking for (oh cultured south FL) So last night hubby said he wanted one and I was all set to explain the recipe when wonder of wonders not only did they know what they were they have it ON TAP! It was smooth and good. the service was stilted. Instead of giving us the check the bartender went out to smoke while our to go pizza got colder. It didn't matter though. The pizza was still really good when we got it home and we now know where to go for a perfect negroni!!

I come here at least once a week! You will absolutely lick the plate each and every time. I lived in Italy for a year and their food is exactly how they serve it in the motherland. Very authentic, delicious and you'll find yourself craving it through the week! The staff is amazing! Ask for Natalie Ray if you're sitting down for dinner :) all bartenders are also very nice and attentive and know the menu very well!

Coming from Boston's North End, this was some of the best Italian food we have ever had. The bolognese and meatballs were on point. Homemade pasta was delicious and even the pizza was good. Excellent find.

Oh Lynora's. Your food is delish and your location is perfect for a West Palm Beach-er looking to enjoy their city, but your service...it's so bad. We've tried you a few times and same thing every time....waiting for a menu, waiting for service, waiting for water, waiting for the check....just....waiting. On anything and everything. I'm all about small business. It's the reason I chose to live in the downtown West Palm area when my husband got transferred to Palm Beach County. And I want to support you- but the service is making it hard to do. So maybe try to work on that, ok?

Poor service 3 times in a row! Tonight was our third time being ignored at Lynora's and it will certainly be our last time visiting them. We were seated and after 15 minutes of being completely ignored by the hostess and every server that walked by us with not even a sign of acknowledgement, we decided to get up and leave. Dinner time can be hectic and it's easy for a kitchen and staff to fall behind and get overwhelmed, however; all it takes is a simple "I'm sorry for the wait, someone will be right with you" to assure you that you are noticed and your business is appreciated. That courtesy was not extended to us and therefore we will be taking our business elsewhere.

Friday night was the second time we visited this resteraunt. Both times the food and service amazing. The food and drink menu is interesting and inventive. The rosemary focacia pizza was unbelievably good, I would also highly recommend the gnocchi entrée. The atmosphere is a modern, warm yet industrial style. It is pleasant and quiet. Easy to have a conversation in. Even the bar is quiet and enjoyable where the game is on in the background. The only complaint about the seating is the banquette style seating along the wall. This is a place that I hope to be visiting often.

Friday night date night. Nice renovation and a nice space that is not too loud but still feels lively. Meatballs for an app were great to share. Salmon was simple and perfectly cooked. My wife's carbonara had a "broken" sauce and part of an uncooked egg. Flavor was good despite the prep flaw. Coffee and gelato were nice. Would like to come back to try a pizza.

5 stars all the way! This location is a gem on Clematis. The location is beautiful, the people are great, and the food is delicious. There's not much more you can say about a restaurant that has everything for its clients; there is a friendly feel when you walk in, and still has the elegance of a high class restaurant. I will definitely be going again.

Pretty good food. Went in twice-once during a happy hour between shows, and the other time on our last Sunday night in town. Both times, the homemade pasta was pretty dang tasty. The happy hour is a great deal--sizable portions of various apps and mains for $8 I think. Calamari was served mixed with another fried veggie-neither were very interesting, but the other food was tasty. Only issue I had with this place was with the hostess we encountered on that Sunday night (12/21). My wife overheard her mention to someone that she had to work a double that day, as apparently, someone didn't show up. Which sucks. But still no excuse for the brusque and rude manner in which she treated us and other customers. Recommend for a quick happy hour bite or the homemade pasta, but don't spend too much time with the hostess.

My wife and I went here last night and you won't be disappointed. This is a newer restaurant on Clematis and it has great decor. Service was good even though our drinks took a little longer then expected. We didn't mind since we wanted to check out the whole Menu. We ordered a couple of drinks and a pizza. The pizza was great especially the crust!! I would come back especially for their happy hour between three and seven. Keep up the good work because I would this place to stick around.

This is an excellent stop on Clematis whether you want a nice dinner or just a drink. The staff is friendly and knowledgable and the atmosphere is authentic and welcoming. Happy hour is great and I recommend the Fettuccine Bolognese and the meat balls with a glass of Pinot Noir. They also have a great brunch on Sundays with a bottomless mix and match menu. Awesome place to stop before the games!

Best bucatini all' amatriciana I've ever had. Perfect ratio of onions, guanciale and tomato. Also, incredbile prosciutto pizza. I turned some naysayers into prosciutto pizza enthusiasts with this pizza. I am adding this to my "must go" places when I visit WPB in the future.

Totally loved this place! I enjoyed the HUGE meatballs as an appetizer (with creamy ricotta and the best marinara in the world). I was almost too full for the entree of duck and porcini mushroom pasta...which was equally amazing! A great wine list and to die for tiramisu bookended the meal. I liked this place so much that I went back the next day for lunch, which is hard to believe when I realized how much I had eaten for dinner. Pizza, Calamari po boy sandwich with zucchini chips (a nice change from the typical french fry) and still more meatballs, because I didn't get enough the night before! I highly recommend Lynora's and I will most definitely be going back to try other menu items (and more meatballs)! Best meals of my vacation!

We went for a quick bite to eat on St Patrick's Day and wow- what a great idea!!! We had a table out on the street and it was so much fun watching all the people on Climatis Street celebrate St Patrick's Day!!! My husband and I split an arugula salad which wasn't really "splittable"- is that a word?! Very small portion. For my entrée I got rigatoni and vodka sauce- nothing special- but I'm a vegetarian and many of their pastas had meat so I kept it basic. My husband got the Pasticco Bolognese and absolutely loved it! Looking forward to going back again and trying some of their other entrées.

I have been to this location twice for lunch. The food has been good as has the service. I think the menu has a little bit for everyone. Portion sizes are small by today's standards but certainly enough. Doubt you will have any to take home because it's good and you will eat it and the sizes. The prices are a couple dollars on the high side for me but reasonable. Overall a good place that is in a good location.

Couldn't wait to try this place with a long history of being good. Took 5 people last night. They had one CA Chardonnay by the bottle which I ordered and was told that never came in. They had another Chardonnay by the glass, we asked if they would honor the price of the bottle and was told "no" they would charge us 4 x a glass. Ok. Started with the eggplant app, it was about a 5 inch circle stack, cut WAY too thick, but sauce was only good point for $12. We ordered 2 pizzas, average at best. They turned the music up around 8pm which made table conversation a challenge. Overall too overpriced, food needs polish, it's trendy now but based on last night this clematis address will inevitably turn over again.

Loved the place! The sauces are incredible and the service top notch. Had the duck pappardelle, which was the winner on the table. Brick oven pizza is a must. Even saw Emeril Lagasse at a neighboring table, I think that's a good sign... Definitely recommend.

9 people party, and everyone loved their food. I had the Risotto DiMare, and it was fantastic. Unfortunately, I will not be able to try anything else because I will order the same thing every time.

Tried this place on a whim. Went for a basic Margherita pizza which was good. But the real winner here was their house special - the Pasticcio Bolognese. It's a thin crepe lasagna that literally melts in your mouth. I've never had anything like it and this dish will be my staple from here on future visits. Well done guys!

Excellent food and wonderful service! I'm from NY so I'm usually very picky about Italian food, but I have nothing bad to say about this place. I went for dinner but I believe they also serve breakfast and lunch. Ambiance: It was a warm evening so the whole front of the restaurant was open so you could see and hear the sounds of the streets outside (which is awesome, because the street is very quaint and filled with other restaurants and bars.) The lighting was dim and comfortable. I went with a small group but it would have been a nice place to take a date too. Food: The food was spectacular! Our group started with a margarita pizza as an appetizer. They make them in the back where you can see the guys flipping the dough, and cook them in a wood fired stove. It was thin, hot, crispy. For my meal I had the Frutti Di Mare. It had generous amounts of seafood and the sauce was incredible. Everyone at my table raved about their meals as well. Service: Our service was great - our waiter was friendly and gave us suggestions based on our preferences. Towards the end of the night the owner of the restaurant (he spoke Italian) even came and sat down next to us to ask how our experience was. Really nice guy! Would definitely recommend this restaurant!

folks, this is great, just great. we went for happy hour last night, and sat at the bar. WONDERFUL!!!! finally a happy hour menu that serves actual meals and not just bar bites. the meatballs with homemade ricotta were a 50 on a 10 point scale. amazing. my husband stopped me from ordering another round!!!!!! "NO CYNTHIA!!" the atmosphere was great, the margarita pizza was good, the caesar salad was fabulous, and the bolognese was wonderful. we will come back, we will eat til our heart's content, and we will spread the word on this wonderful new gem on clematis. nice work Lynora's!!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
